Identification :- A deep bodied fish, three dorsal fins and two anal fins. Lateral line is distinct and runs to the tail,Eyes
are large, top jaw longer than the lower, A strongly developed barbel is present  Back is copper brown that fades to an
Irredescent brownish yellow, white belly. The sides often show four or five bands with a black spot at the base of the
pectoral fin,

Habitat :- Depths of 3 to 100m, small fish tend to stay over sandy ground,adults rocky ground and wrecks.

Baits :- Mackerelstrip, worms, shrimps, squid.
